Parcel Corps Skid onto the sun kissed streets of New Island, where three bicycle courier corporations are vying to become the biggest, most profitable business in town! Pick a side then lock handlebars forming two-wheeled rivalries in pursuit of market share, influence, and a modest income. This game’s great! The artstyle is really cool and quirky and the writing is alot of fun. The gameplay is fantastic. Going fast and doing tricks at the same time is really well implemented as doing tricks allows you to go even faster. The level design has been great so far. Discovering new routes to get to the delivery points faster feels great. The gameplay loop goes like this: you explore a decently large area discovering businesses that give you parcels to deliver. You start by doing individual deliveries and eventually unlock a “rush” delivery where you have to pick up and deliver multiple packages in whatever order you want.

That is indisputable. You can tell that there is a lot of weight on their shoulders, almost as much as the burdens carried by Sam Porter Bridges in Death Stranding. Although it feels a little lighter like a feather or rather an autumn leaf, being shaken by the wind in a metropolis just like Premium Rush. The gameplay loop is as expected, go here, get thing, go there, deliver thing. It brings me back to the days of Crazy Taxi and earlier task driven games like that. The world thus far feels good, it’s fun and quirky and wildly on the nose. The story doesn’t feel too compelling but it doesn’t need to be. Looking at similar games like Crazy Taxi, Skate3, the pro BMX games of old (Dave Mirra, and Mat Hoffman) and even Riders Republic to a degree, none of these games have a truly compelling “story” just a go here do this and have fun and be creative in how you get there. Mechanically the traversal is unique and very sound.
