Death end re Quest 2 is a classic jRPG with a turn-based combat system enriched with elements typical of visual adventure games. We will be transported into the universe known from the first part, or rather in the fictional mountain town of Liz Soara, inspired by Southern Europe. The main characters three girls — Mai Toyama, Rotten Doll’s Heart and Liliana Piata — are involved in the disappearance of schoolgirls who spent the night in Wordsworth’s dorm. It is soon revealed that this situation is related to a strange cult known as El Strain operating in the city, as well as a curse that seems to be affecting the city. At night, terrifying shadows appear on the streets, which for some reason want to kill the heroines. It is worth noting that the game also has several characters known from the previous part, such as Shina Ninomiya, Summer Life or Lydia Nolan.

Death end reQuest 2 is a classic representative of the jRPG genre. Observing the action from a third person, we explore the town of Liz Soara, complete quests, talk to the characters and gradually discover new fragments of the script prepared by the creators. Compile Heart also includes battles. This aspect of the game is implemented using a turn-based system. In battles, we control a team of three characters the order of attack depends on the characteristics of the speed of our heroes and opponents. In turn, players can also move a given heroine, which allows them to place her out of the reach of opponents or in a point where she can support a companion.
