The game’s story isn’t told in the best of ways. Still, it has some really good and interesting world building. Something that I hope to see continued. DioField’s story will give you the necessary information to go into the next storybased mission with context. Unfortunately, the comes across as shallow and could use a bit more interaction to really flesh out the entirety of the situation. Along with character arcs that although come up, don’t go too in depth with who these people are. We get a decent idea, but nothing more.

The ones we learn the most about are the first mage you recruit, and the first archer. And even then, we the player, don’t get to see too much other than what is at face value. Unfortunately, the main character, Andrias, remains a mystery; even at the end. It feels like SquareEnix is trying to go this multimedia route with a lot of IPs nowadays, and if FF15 is anything to learn form; it’s that route doesn’t go anywhere.
